EphB2, active
N-terminal 6His-tagged recombinant, human EphB2 amino acids 560-end.
Biological information
Background
Eph family tyrosine kinase receptors consist of two groups: EphA group members respond to ephrin-A, which is anchored to the cell membrane by glycosylphosphatidylinositol, whereas EphB group members respond to ephrin-B, containing a transmembrane domain. Among them, only EphA4 can cross-respond to both ephrin-A and -B. The primary function of EphB2 (Ephrin type-B receptor 2, DRT, EPTH3, ERK, HEK5) is to inactivate the Ras-MAPK pathway in a fashion that contributes to cytoskeletal reorganization and adhesion responses in neuronal growth cones.
GenBank D31661. The recombinant protein is A848S and K918E with respect to this accession number. Both of these conflicts are reported inGenBank entries L36643, AF025304, NM_004442, NM_017449 and L41939.
