Hck, active
N-terminal 6His-tagged recombinant, human Hck amino acids 230-497.
Biological information
Background
Hematopoietic cell kinase (HCK) is a member of Src protein-tyrosine kinase family and expressed primary in granulocytes, monocytes and macrophages. Active HCK phosphorylates STAT5B on Tyr699, which represents an essential step in Signal transducer and activator of transcription 5 (STAT5B) stimulation. The binding of SH3 ligands, such as the Nef protein of HIV-1, further augments Hck activity suggesting a new mechanism for regulating tyrosine kinase activity.
